Regional low-cost carrier flydubai has reinstated its **daily non-stop flights between Chattogram (CGP) and Dubai International’s Terminal 2** effective 1 April, the Arab Air Carriers Organisation confirmed in a 6 April notice. The route operates under the flydubai-Emirates codeshare, allowing single-ticket connections across Emirates’ global network and through-checked baggage. Chattogram (formerly Chittagong) is Bangladesh’s second-largest city and a key catchment for Bangladeshi skilled and semi-skilled workers employed in the UAE’s construction, maritime and service sectors. Daily capacity provides employers with a reliable pipeline for new hires and home-leave rotations, especially important as Dubai ramps up projects tied to its 2030 Urban Master Plan. For exporters, the service offers faster uplift of perishable seafood and garments to Dubai’s Jebel Ali logistics hub, cutting transit times by up to 24 hours compared with routings via Dhaka. The resumption also frees capacity on busier Dhaka–Dubai sectors, easing fare pressure during the Eid travel peak. flydubai suspended CGP flights in January 2024 due to runway works and then pushed back the restart twice amid the 2026 conflict. Its return underscores Dubai’s strategy of diversifying traffic sources while some European flows are curtailed.
