Visa processing for short-term Russian drivers will shift to an on-site one-stop kiosk that issues electronic entry permits within 30 minutes—a significant facilitation compared with embassy filing. The port will enter phased commercial operation on 1 July after additional stress tests on its radiation-monitoring gantry and 5G-enabled weighbridges. Regional governments are discussing a through-bus service linking Hunchun high-speed rail station with Vladivostok International Airport, which could open a fresh passenger corridor for business delegations.
